Cleveland TL 310 Launcher Ultralite Driver Review
Let me say that this driver does not get enough attention. Let me explain some of its pros:First, the shaft is fantastic. I tried numerous drivers with stock shafts and the shaft on the Cleveland TL 310 was the best. It is extremely light, but yet at the same time doesn't feel like a wet noodle like other shafts that are in the same light category. The shaft is clearly designed for the better player as its torque is low and the kickpoint is high ( which causes a mid-low trajectory). I am a 7 handicap, and this is one of the few clubs I feel I can swing hard with and the shaft won't flex like crazy causing me to hook. If you do your research you will find that this shaft alone can cost between 200-250 dollars.
Second, the club head promotes confidence. The clubface is slightly open (in my opinion) at address and exudes confidence. There are no gimmicks with this clubhead, just a simple yet confident look. The club overall is extremely light, yet the engineers kept the swing weight (ratio of weight between the grip and clubhead) to keep the feel.
The only con is that the clubhead is 440cc instead of 460cc. To be honest, I compared this driver to my old one (460cc) and could not perceive any noticeable size difference.
I find it almost impossible to miss the fairway with this driver. It is one of the straightest drivers I have ever owned. No more flex induced hooks. The shaft makes this driver worth every penny. If you are looking for a driver with great feel, accuracy, and distance give the Cleveland TL 310 a try.
