This is a fairly good set for beginners. The irons are easy to hit and produce good results. The 3 and 4 hybrid clubs are great for beginners who often have trouble hitting those irons. The driver is the only letdown in this set, it doesn't have the distance you want from a driver so I highly recommend purchasing another driver. If you go to a golf shop or used sports equipment place you can find a good used driver for $50-75. I can hit the 3 wood within 5 yards of the driver in this set, so the 3 and 5 fairway woods perform well. As a tall person (6'4) I had trouble in the past hitting with normal length clubs, I would often top the ball.
