Medicus Men's Dual Hinged Oversized Driver Review

They have since updated the latest installment of the ever popular Medicus Hinged club with a 460 cc shaft. I bought and tried this club for 30 days. I found that the weight of the club (steel shaft and steel clubhead) was too heavy in comparison to my Nike Titanium driver/graphite shaft. If this club were designed with a Titanium Head and graphite shaft, or at least a lighter steel shaft, then the weight differential would be a lot less. To my sensitive hands, this model seemed to be clunky to me. However, I leave it up to the end user to decide what works best for him or her.
The 'dual hinge' is specific to this particular model. You can adjust the sensitivity of the hinge which is useful. However, the Refiner has an adjustable hinge, also, and the dual hinge design does not confer an advantage given a particular swing path/plane.
The videos are helpful and that may be why the cost is so much higher (including infomercials, endorsements and advertising). The top tips is a 10 minute video by Champions tour players and Mark O Meara. The instructional video is just a 10 minute demonstration of where the club breaks.
However, the cost of the DVDs does not bridge the gap from cheaper alternatives such as the Refiner by Skilz.

As a result of my trial with this model, I bought the Refiner Driver which is lighter and has the same function/advantages for a lot less money (about 40% less). It is my conclusion that you should try both training clubs to determine which works out for you. For me, the Refiner does the same for less.
