My former caused the ball to balloon even there was no wind coming at me. I needed a driver to take some spin off of my drives and bring my ball flight down. This driver did that for me. I get a penetrating ball flight with roll out. I have easily picked up an additional 20 yards in total distance. The club head feels solid and sounds awesome on center hits. There is instant feedback when hits are off center but nothing that is disturbing. Just enough feel and sound difference to let you know it wasn't quite right. (perfect) The shaft is one of the best the market had to offer at the time. Nickent did not use factory seconds or cheap shafts when building their clubs unlike Taylor Made and other big brand names who use a lower quality shaft in their off the shelf clubs. (A comparison of four identical drivers pulled randomly of a shelf, made by TM, each marked as Med Flex, had differences that ranged between senior flex and extra stiff. The evolver was made to be a variable driver one could adjust the head on. This driver does not have the tool or an adjustment piece that makes it possible to do the adjustment. For me it was not necessary as the driver is just what I needed. The head is solid and the shaft is a real workhorse. I am not long by any means and I usually average around 240 but will have those days when I can get out to 260 to 280. Not often but it happens. The dispersion I get from the club isn't too bad. I am able to keep this driver in the fairway or playable lies most of the time (81% is the stat) Bad swings make up the 19% OF GUNK I hit. This is a great driver if your swing speed is above 83 and you don't horse the club from the top. A smooth swing on this club gives bonus points in yardage and accuracy. Great club. The Nickent 3 wood in this model is one of the longest off the tee I have ever hit. In a 10 ball test against my old driver it was longer 9 of 10 times.
