Innova DX Beast Review
I have been playing disc golf for about a year. I started playing more or less seriously when I bought a DX Starter 3-Pack. This set suited me well for the first while, then I needed more distance as I started playing with my college-aged son who had a "Beast" of his own. My "Leopard" though a good disc, had limited distance. So I picked up one of these discs and started to get acquainted with it.I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and we are slowly becoming friends. I am able to get good distance out of it, but I'm still working on accuracy (the bane of every golfer).
I am impressed by the sharp edges and heavy rim that allows it to slice through some leaves, etc.
I now carry this disc with my Leopard, Shark, and Aviar, and between them I can meet most of my local course's challenges. I'm fairly regularly making par, and even the occasional birdie (and bogie).
I realize that this is the "Plain Jane" driver of the Innova disc line, but that's OK. It's working fine for me so far.
5 stars for a "starter" distance driver.
